Thanks, June. Living right next to the Master Jet Base on the East Coast, I have a soft spot in my heart for the guys streaking across our skies every day.

I saw the Blue Angels last fall, and Lcdr Davis wasn't flying that day, but he was the announcer. God bless him! :) -Six

As Colo would say..."sleep with the Angels". I know he truly is!

hiya Six, I enjoyed the video immensely. What happened to him, an airplane crash? it's awesome how they fly so close to each other like that. He looked so young, how sad.

Six,
I've seen the Blue Angels once and it was unforgettable. I haven't happened to read any reports of what happened, but it sounded to me like it must have been some mechanical failure. Very sad, but you have posted a nice tribute to all military personnel.

Hi Belle... yes, he crashed during the Blue Angels air show in South Carolina on 4/21, last Saturday. He certainly was one of the "best of the best", that's for sure!

Oh, and he was 32 years old.

Well hey, Mr. O! The Blue Angels performances certainly are unforgettable. I've seen them maybe a dozen times, and they are truly amazing, indeed.

I pretty much get an air show daily where I live, with the FA-18s shooting thru the skies of Virginia Beach... though not quite with the same maneuvers as their elite brethren... but awesome all the same.

I have not heard anything more on the cause of Lcdr Davis' crash... but you might be right about the mechanical failure.

:) -Six

That is way too young to leave his loved ones, Six, that's just sad. He obviously had a love of flying because those moves would entail precision. I really enjoyed the video and the post.

Wow, Miss Six, I remember vividly when we saw the Blue Angels last Fall and what a fun day that was. So sad to hear that Kevin died but he probably saved a few lives other than his own when he went down according to some reports I read. The skill and daring of those pilots is amazing and I mourn this loss too.

Best wishes as always to you,

Prank
