Checkers a.k.a "Old Girl"
This afternoon, we lost our beloved companion cat of almost 13 years. While Checkers was ill for the last month, and the end was not unexpected, I don't think you're ever really prepared for the day it comes.
Checkers had a great life, and was spoiled nicely with love by my daughter... from the day we brought that shy little kitten home as a surprise for Chelsea when she was a kindergardener... right up until her last morning on this earth today during Chelsea's senior year.
Her regal presence will be sorely missed. Goodnight, Sweet Cat... sleep well in Heaven's Calico Palace
But that Calico had a pretty good life I bet and I know Woogie was impressed.
Best wishes,
Prank
I know how difficult it must be for you, and especially your daughter, to lose a pet you have loved for so many years. Just remember the good times.
still.... from me to you - I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

peace, wayf
I feel your loss. When I lost 'the lil' man' I didn't get another dog for almost three years. But when I did, well, the 'white terror' brings me much pleasure these days.
Even if he sleeps on the bed, sheds, and drools on my pillow. (It makes for an interesting. . . hair gel.)
I know they are given to us to love them and to teach us unconditional love, if we let them. I mourn your loss. I still miss Muffin my second cat, but the first cat that was just mine. I was four so 38 years ago come this Christmas she was mine. We were inseperable. I broght her for show and tell so much that the kids new and loved her too. She loved riding the bus to school.
Take care and don't let your pain keep you from finding love again. There is a special cat waiting to help you get though this time. Let it. Beth.
Sorry about your cat and friend!
Peace...Solid
